AirLogix Receives Full NCQA Disease
Management Program Accreditation

AirLogix, the pioneer and leader in respiratory disease management has received full accreditation for its Disease Management programs in both asthma and COPD from NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance). The Accreditation includes both NCQA Practitioner and Patient oriented processes.

NCQA is the nation's leader in health care performance measurement and oversight and currently accredits more than half the nation's HMOs. NCQA also has broad support among the employer community with nearly 75% of the nation's large employers using NCQA Accreditation and HEDIS data to guide their choices among health plans.

"Earning the NCQA Disease Management Accreditation is a great honor and a strong indication of our commitment to quality disease management programs and processes," said Susan B. Riley, President of AirLogix. "We welcomed the thorough review and full evaluation by NCQA as an independent and thorough auditor of processes in the delivery of care."

She added, "The full accreditation of both our asthma and COPD programs is very important to our health plan partners. In addition to having a respected third-party validation of our disease management competencies, our health plan partners will receive disease management credits in their own NCQA quality HEDIS audits."

NCQA's disease management evaluation program - DM Accreditation and Certification - is designed to help leading disease management providers distinguish themselves in the market, streamline oversight processes, and improve health care quality. NCQA's disease management standards for certification address six key areas for a disease management program including program content, patient services, practitioner services, clinical systems, measurement & quality improvement and program operations.
