New Asthma Management Program features Doc Monaghan



Plattsburgh, NY—Monaghan Medical Corporation, the maker of the AeroChamber® Valved Holding Chamber, (“VHC”) recently announced its newest product, the Asthma Management Program featuring Doc Monaghan™. The program consists of a lively video or DVD, featuring a young boy who just learned he has asthma and an engaging animated character named “Doc Monaghan™.” The program also contains a comprehensive educational packet including a child’s storybook, a parent handbook and a coloring book. Slated to hit hospitals by November 1st, 2006, the program handles topics ranging from asthma medications, peak flows and ‘staying in the zones,’ as well as understanding and avoiding asthma triggers. The Doc Monaghan™ character conveys the importance of managing asthma on a daily basis in easy to understand language for both children and parents alike. The program was developed by a team of certified asthma educators dedicated to improving the life of children with asthma as well as their caregivers. The overall objective of the program is to meet the growing need for asthma education for prevention and management. To date, asthma is reported to be the third-ranking cause of hospitalization among those younger than 15 years of age. The Doc Monaghan™ program hopes to aid in the prevention of hospitalization through education. All items in the program are available in English and Spanish. AirLogix Again Earns Full NCQA Disease Management Certification
